We welcome you to Gethsemane Church! We are truly “Not Your Typical Church”. If you are new to our church, this is the place to start. We strive to offer opportunities for everyone to grow in their faith and commitment to God.
Take “Not your Typical Church”: This is a great place to start. You will be introduced to all the programs, opportunities and ministries (and the people who lead them) we have for you and your family. It takes place on three consecutive Sunday mornings (either at 8:45 or 10:30am). On the third Sunday, you and the other the participants will have lunch at the Parsonage with Pastor Drew and Debbie. “Not Your Typical Church” is offered three times a year in January, May and September. Check the bulletin or newsletter for exact dates. Sign up at the Welcome Center.
Faith for Life-Sundays at 10:30 in the Bible Class. The Bible says, “Without faith, it is impossible to please God”, (Hebrews 11:6). This group will help you learn to live by faith. You can join anytime.
Road to Financial Freedom. A 4 week study designed to introduce you to biblical principles for managing money and possessions.
Read "The Purpose Driven Life", by Rick Warren. This easy-to-read book explains the five purposes God has for each of us as Christians and for us as a church (our church mission statement reflects the five purposes explained in this book).
Join a small group. New small groups start 3 times a year in February, June and October. We encourage you, along with everyone in our church, to take part in a small group, where you will have opportunity to grow in your faith, get to know God and get to know others in our church family.
Learn what it means to be a member of our church. Are you ready to commit to becoming a member of our church? Take CLASS 101, “Discovering and Joining Gethsemane”, which is our required class for membership. You will learn what it means to be a member, what the church stands for, and what we believe as Methodists. You will then have the opportunity to join our church. CLASS 101 is offered several times throughout the year. Check the bulletin and Newsletter for the latest dates.
