Expanding Minds,
Deepening Hearts

Where lives are transformed through the love and power of Jesus Christ by intentionally…
Encouraging, enlightening, and energizing believers to become more Christ-like
through Discipleship.

The image above is an Olive Tree from the Garden of Gethsemane "The Garden of Olives" outside of Jerusalem. The tree is actually thousands of years old and may have been there when Christ prayed in the garden. Gethsemane is a Hebrew word for "oil press" and olives continue to be an important staple in the middle east today as they were in the time of Jesus.

What's YOUR Next Step?

We encourage you to take the Next Step.  "Next Step toward what?", you might be asking.  Toward Christ, and becoming more like Him!  This is our church's purpose of Discipleship:  Intentionally encouraging believer to become more Christ-like.  Jesus' example shows us that becoming more like Him means growing in how we Love God, Love Others, and Serve.  The Bible often describes the process of becoming more Christ-like as a journey, a walk or path.  So to become more Christ-like, we must take some Steps!  We are all in different places on this journey, so for each of us the Next Step will be different.  But God is clearly calling each one of us to take it.  "Continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ", 2 Peter 3:18.

Before you decide what your Next Step is, take some time to pray and ask God to guid you. "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths", Proverbs 3:6.  If you have any questions, contact Linda Pevey at (302) 629-2862 or by e-mail at linda-pevey@comcast.net.
