"The POWER Zone"
During the 8:45 a.m. Worship Service Sunday Mornings
Power Zone (Children's Church) is designed for children from Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade. It is a unique and energetic place for children to worship God, experience the history of God’s people, learn to follow Jesus, and live in the Holy Spirit.
Children move through the Bible and everyday life in a fun and creative way. Kids’ worship is filled with music, puppets, play, and art. The center of this worship is always God and His eternal love for us.
If you have questions about Power Zone, please contact Miss Diana (mywildhorse@comcast.net). There are plenty of opportunities to serve Children's Ministry, Power Zone is just one of them.
Sunday School – Sunday Mornings at 10:30 a.m.
Children start in the Sanctuary to hear Songs of Praise, and then are released with their teachers to their classrooms where the FaithWeaver Curriculum is used. Fall and summer quarters include Old Testament stories. Winter includes New Testament stories of Jesus' birth and early ministry. Spring includes New Testament stories of Jesus' ministry, death, resurrection (Easter), and the early church.

WAYS YOU CAN SERVE OUR CHILDREN!

Volunteer for the Nursery, Power Zone (Children's Church)--Registration/Helper/Teacher/Music, a Sunday School Class, Vacation Bible School, Breakfast Service (either Cooking, Setup or Clean up), Child Care for Small Groups, and Programs/Events throughout the year. Whether it is one night every now and then, one week of the month, or more, you might be able to help.
Donate supplies...Children create all the time. Construction paper, scissors, glue, clay, paint, pencils, markers, and other supplies are always needed and always welcomed. Check with Katie (Holbrook) Williams to see what the Nursery might need.
Breakfast...Ms. Donna Smith works on breakfast during the 8:45 a.m. service, so children may eat at 10:00 a.m. before going to Sunday School. She would love to have help with prep, cooking, and clean up, while the Power Zone staff could use the extra hands to help serving from 10-10:20 a.m. Maybe you could volunteer for one week a month.
Serving as a teacher or substitute. Many of our teachers volunteer on alternating months. There are times when a substitute is needed at the last minute due to illness, so if you are flexible maybe that is you.
Prayer--The number of children in our church continues to climb, so we need to be in prayer for our children, our teachers, our families, our facilities, and much more.
If you would like to help the Children's Ministry in any way or would like to find out more, please contact Rev. Michelle Loving-Moore, Director Children's Ministry.
